The history of mocha

The Mocha drink, known for its perfect marriage of coffee and chocolate, has its origins in the port of Mocha in Yemen, famous for its rich, full-bodied coffee. Over time, this drink has traveled across continents, reinventing itself at every step to merge with local cultures.
Let yourself be tempted by a reinterpreted recipe, caffeine-free, 100% French and with the good taste of roasted cereals.

Ultra simple to prepare, it's the perfect recipe for an afternoon in front of a movie and under a blanket!

For 2 people

  • 25 cl of milk
  • 1 cup of the Original steeped 4-5 min
  • 20 g of dark chocolate
  • 1 drop of vanilla extract
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
  • Whipped cream
  • Cinnamon stick
  • Cocoa Powder

1. In a saucepan, heat the milk with the sugar and vanilla extract over low heat.

2. In the meantime, prepare your Original (let it infuse well!). Once the milk is sufficiently hot, add the Original as well as the chocolate previously cut into pieces.

3. Let the chocolate melt for a few minutes (the milk should not boil) then whisk until there is foam on the surface.

4. Pour the Bibo mocha into cups then cover with whipped cream. Sprinkle with cocoa and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
