Comment infuser L'Original de BIBO ?

How to infuse BIBO Original?

The Original is a blend of chicory, barley, spelt and buckwheat grains. Simply infuse it to appreciate all its flavors.

The fundamentals

  • One tablespoon per cup
  • Between 150 and 200 ml of water per cup
  • Hot infusion: 100°C for 2 to 4 minutes.
  • Cold brew: Cold to warm water for 2 to 5 hours.

Depending on the number of cups desired and the size of your infusion utensil, respect the proportion of one tablespoon per cup (eg: for infusion in a teapot, infuse 4 tablespoons of the mixture in 800ml of water and you will get 4 cups of BIBO.

Use the brew method that suits you

  • Infusion ball
  • Filters (paper, recyclable cotton)
  • Stainless steel infuser (bottles with infuser included)
  • Tea-pot
  • French press coffee maker
  • Filter coffee maker
  • Infuser pitcher
  • Infuser kettle
  • ...everything is possible with the infusion medium you have on hand.

It is also possible to use a saucepan, boil water or milk, add the L'Original grains, then filter through a strainer or other before pouring into your cup.

For the more adventurous, you can even do without utensils and pour the grains directly into your cup before adding the water. You risk having a few grains in your mouth during tasting, but some people love them.

Experiment with different brew times

Brewing time will affect flavor strength – shorter, lighter | longer, stronger - a form of bitterness also develops after 8 minutes of infusion in water at 100°c.

It is also possible to infuse the mixture for 2 to 5 hours in a cool place to experience cold brew. Don’t hesitate to add ice cubes or garnish it with fresh fruit for more freshness and deliciousness.

Add some deliciousness

Milks or vegetable juices, they go wonderfully with the mixture and combine their flavors to offer you a new drink whose horizons are as broad as the ranges of milk drinks on the market.

We still recommend that you make your own vegetable juices, buy concentrated ones to dilute at home, or at least choose drinks made in France, ideally from French ingredients!

Syrups, honeys, anything goes if your taste buds demand them. Here again, if the origin is French, it's even better. Think of salted butter caramel from Brittany or chestnut cream from Limousin, the limits are those of your creativity.

Don't forget to share all this with us on our social networks, we are delighted to see you discover BIBO!
